Gewalt ist dabei nicht nur gegenüber Frauen, welche somit zu Opfern hegemonialer Männlichkeit werden, auffällig, sie dient Männern auch zur Kontrolle anderer Männer. Geschlecht, Kriminalität und die Kontrolle derselben sollten hierbei nicht im traditionellen Verständnis einer männlichen Geschlechtsrolle oder der männlichen Sozialisation aufgefasst werden, schließlich gibt es bei weitem nicht nur die eine measurement von „Geschlecht“, sondern derer viele verschiedenartige und nicht selten widersprüchliche Formen. Daher erscheint es wichtig, unterschiedliche kulturelle Traditionen miteinander zu vergleichen, in denen Männlichkeit ihren Ausdruck in shape von Gewalt verschiedenster artwork findet.
Die vorliegende Arbeit werden existierende Formen hegemonialer Männlichkeit mit Hinblick auf die Männlichkeitsdarstellungen und Leitbilder von Männlichkeit verschiedener Kulturen im Hinblick auf deren Beeinflussung von Kriminalität und Gewalt, vor allem gegenüber dem weiblichen Geschlecht, untersucht. Dabei werden, von Deutschland ausgehend, Japan und Australien als Kulturbeispiele dienen, um der grundlegenden Frage ob und inwiefern Gewalt und Kriminalität in verschiedenen Gesellschaften durch die kulturspezifischen Darstellungen von Männlichkeit beeinflusst bzw. hervorgerufen werden. Dazu werden zunächst die historischen Grundlagen für die Männlichkeitsbilder der beiden Vergleichsländer untersucht, bevor vor allem das japanische Geschlechterverhältnis näher betrachtet und damit in Verbindung stehende, weit verbreitete Fehleinschätzungen aus Sicht der westlichen Welt offengelegt werden. Anschließend sollen Kriminalität und Gewalt, besonders sexueller Natur, näher betrachtet werden, um der Beantwortung der anfangs gestellten Frage näher zu kommen. Ein besonderes Exempel für gewalttätige Männergemeinschaften in heutigen Gesellschaften sollen hierbei Jugendgangs bilden.

Dabei sind die Musikgenres sehr vielfältig. Von volkstümlichen Liedermachern, über stereotype Skinheadmusik, bis hin zur Rock-, Gothic- und Metal-Szene ist die Spannbreite gestreckt. Insgesamt gibt es momentan ungefähr one hundred fifty aktive Rechtsrock Bands in Deutschland. Rechtsextremismus wird dabei als Geisteshaltung mit Rassen diskrimierenden, antisemitischen, NS- oder kriegsverherrlichenden Inhalten (BPjM: 2006, S.8) in den Musiktexten eingearbeitet. Besonders die Entwicklung von Rechtsrock ist weiterhin ein präsentes Thema, vorallem wegen dem increase und der Dynamik, die sich während der letzten Jahre entwickelt haben. Die Musik ist aus vielen Bereichen der extremen Rechten derjenige, der sich am schnellsten und differenziertesten entwickelt hat und dies auch weiterhin tut.
Zunächst werde ich auf die Musik als solches eingehen, das heißt im Konkreten auf die Definition, die Entwicklung des Musikstils (und die Streuung in andere Subkulturen), Themen und Inhalte der Musik und inwiefern sie als Lockmittel für Jugendliche genutzt wird. In einem weiteren Punkt erörtere ich, warum gerade Jugendliche so eine interessante Zielgruppe für die Rechten darstellen. Auch Anknüpfungspunkte zur Mitte der Gesellschaft werde ich erläutern. Abschließend werde ich meine Betrachtungen im Kontext der Sozialen Arbeit beenden.
Ich beziehe mich in meinen Ausführungen über einige andere Subkulturen, als die der Skinheads, besonders auf Sparten der Schwarzen Szene, da ich selbst in diese einen großen Einblick erfahren habe. [...]
